2010 Corolla - How To Remove Trim Around Auto Shift Knob Trim

Hello,
I have a 2010 corolla. I am trying to remove the whole trim around the sifting knob. And is it safe and easy to put back?

Using the correct tool. I am sure if you incorrectly take off a tab may snap. I guess you want to do what with it dip it? paint it?

that looks like it is attached to the console panel if that is what it is called. its a step closer?

the video is a good one. If what you want to do is remove the plastic "gate" twist off the the knob and the gate should come off somewhat like the rest of the trim. Very easy, however I have a manual so less things to pull off.

I alrready took those parts out. i am talking about the one that he did not take off around the shift knob.

again see my note above. the knob will unscrew and then the rest can be taken off

ok, and is it difficult to put all the pieces back togather? and by taking them off, do i have a high chance of damaging anything inside or its no harm to remove those pieces.

should be just as easy to put together as they are to come apart

?? now your talking steering wheel, That I don't know. I would hazard a guess that it is possible to remove the trim without removing the airbag but I don't know for sure. I'm sure there is video on you tube about it.

Remove the airbag. It isn't worth the risk.

Thanks, now need some seat cover. Any advice where I can get some good quality in low price. Idk if I trust the ebay/amazon $50 seat cover set.lol

I'm not sure you can put seat covers on these cars because of the in-seat airbags.

Thats what I thought, but a lot of the seat covers states they are compatible with airbags. so I am trying to figure out how that works and is it legit.

Probably have weak stitching in that area.
