2008 - Brake Light

Hey guys, hopefully you can help me. I bought an '08 used Corolla and everything was going well the first few months. Now, however, when I turn on the engine the brake light comes on. It'll go off after about 20 minutes, but flashes on when I brake and then goes off.. is this an electrical problem?

no most likely the sensor in the master, easist way to check unplug connector. no light should only come on when you use e-brake. if light is coming on more and more frequently your fluid level is low and you probably need brakes.

Your Corolla is telling you that something isn't right with your brakes and to have it diagnosed by an automotive technician. Your very life and that of others depends on your cars brakes functioning properly, so I'd recommend you have this checked as soon as possible.

I'm betting the fluid level in the brake master cylinder was right at the mark that would trigger the light.
