1990 Corolla - Tire Fitment

I just bought some aftermarket 18 inch rims for my 1990 toyota corolla sr5. I am wondering because a few people have told me that I should run 215X35R18 tires on those rims. Would they work and not rub?

Before you install such massive wheels, be advised it will noticeably reduce fuel economy and performance.

For the proper size tires, what needs to be evaluated is the original load carrying capacity of the original equipment tires and to then at least be certain the the new size will have the same or better load carrying capacity.

Then there's the factor of the speedometer being inaccurate with different size tires.
