Which also reminds how sad I am that Toyota doesn't make anything to compete with WRXs, GTIs, etc. The GT86 is amazing but too small for most people. Come on Toyota make a real performance Corolla, Celica, Supra, anything!
I would also suggest a different car because a Corolla S will never be a fast car, unless you modify it heavily. At which point you might as well have bought a WRX STI, Golf R, or Focus RS. I love the Corolla but it's never going to be fast.
Sure no problem! So you will see the charcoal filter in the top half of the airbox when you separate it. It's held in with some plastic rivets. It's pretty easy to remove just use some needle nose pliers. You will see how much air it is blocking once it's out of there!
The snorkel is a bitch...
Hi FadeKing, so if you want to take the entire snorkel off I would recommend taking out the battery at minimum. It's a tight squeeze but you won't need to remove the bumper. There is only one 10mm bolt connecting it to the engine bay, you can see it to the right of where the battery sits. Be...
So I went to roll down the front passenger window a little to allow the car to cool down quicker and the window didn't move at all, then it SLOWLY went down some. I noticed a "film" left behind on the window. All of the other windows roll up and down with no issues. I took the car in to our...
Looks great!! You will love it, and this will be a big change from a full size truck! LOL The Special Edition red with the black wheels and accents looks awesome. I will also suggest Eibach Sport springs or TRD springs. I'm planning on installing the Eibach springs. I just helped my brother...
Something I noticed about the 2016 Corolla compared to the 2013 (and the iM) is that silencer box is gone. The intake has a scoop that loops around down by the fog light and up into the intake box. That was going to be my first "mod" and I was surprised to see that silencer box was gone! I still...
I'm very happy with the gas mileage for sure! And luckily Dallas traffic isn't anywhere near as bad as NYC! Hahaha I think my morning commute helps the MPG a lot, after work not so much. Haha The CVT is great though at keeping the RPMs low at highway speeds.
I'm really liking the more aggressive front end! There doesn't seem to be a good place to mount a front license plate, which is fine with me. I love that an XSE trim will be available, but I miss the XRS.
So far my 2016 S is getting between 35-37 mpg per tank, I have less than 2000 miles on the car. In comparison the best I would ever see in my 2013 S was about 35, same exact drive. (North of Dallas downtown and back each day). The CVT in any 11th gen Corolla should return very good mpg, in fact...
