I was wondering tool when a battery is on its last legs before it dies completely? I have one with around 47 k miles and it seems to start the car just fine . I would like to replace mine before it just croaks on me.

Yep Chris, that combined with running cold uses more gas . Still gets darn good mpg, just that in the summer it`s even better.

87 octane . Before winter set in was averaging 39mpg . With this horrid winter weather it has dropped several mpg`s. The car sounds exactly the same as when I would use a higher octane.

Aren`t most batteries sealed up now a days?

You don`t have very many miles either do you Chris. I live in Indiana near the Michigan border. My dad years ago when he retired moved down to Florida, I remember him telling me that hot weather was harder on batterys. When it does go out though I hope I get some warning and not go out one...

Got a 2014 Corolla with 47k miles . We are having some single digit and below this week and next.So far the car is starting up ok. I just wonder if anyone has had to replace a battery yet? What do you suppose is the average lifespan on these batterys?

Regular, that`s all anyone with a Corolla needs. Anything else is a waste of money.

My 2014 has around 46k miles and I`m still on the original battery.

i recently bought tire at "Discount Tire" , I think they will rotate for free at around 6k miles.

Don`t know if you can just swap them out.

They should name the car in the video mini-rolla. :-)
