Exhaust system for Corolla 2017 XSE

How bout stick with the stock exhaust the the engineers spent time developing for the application. Once your car is 4 years old, or out of warranty then change it. Or you could have bout it new with TRD exhaust that was developed for the car. Just a thought.

    gear oil

Well, one call and 4 transfers later, service states what the manual says, 75W. Parts dept says they use 75W 90 for manual transmissions. And of course they don't sell it over the counter they just have it in bulk for service...I guess I know what I need now.

    gear oil

The manual to my 2013 says I should use Toyota genuine gear oil or 75W specs for my manual transmission fluid. Question is is it 75W 90, or 75W 120 or other weight?

    Third set of Choppy Tires

Honestly, fixing is up to you. At some point cars need things to be replaced. Even Toyota's don't last forever without replacing parts. Do you want payments on a new car? or are you ok with fixing something that has reputation of driving for ever and have no car payments. That said I would shop...

    single wire horn

ok, so I figured something like that. So when I get an after market horn all I have to do it connect the wire to the positive terminal of the horn and there are no problems, correct?

    single wire horn

Does anyone know why the Corolla's horn, in my case 2013, only has one wire?

    Third set of Choppy Tires

Agreed, worth checking struts to see how the are. I have 2013 and on my second set. I rotate right rear to left front. left front to left rear, left rear to right front and right front to right rear. I never had a problem with my first set of tires and so far none with the second set. I rotate...

2017 Corolla Safety Sense Pre-Collision System

I don't see the machine being smart. While this was an entertaining test and actually a good thing to do so a driver can see and get used to the system it only tells me that all these safety aides are just exactly what they are. Aides. One still has to be an alert, good, aware, etc etc driver. I...

What did you own/drive before getting your Corolla?

I traded in a 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix. Apart from having about just of 4grand of rear damage (which I did not know about until I traded it in) It was a great car. I just got tired of the gas mileage so I got my 2013 used Corolla manual trans. It was sold as used but only had 5100km on it.

    Aftermarket tail lights

I have looked in the past. There is lots out there for 2011-2013 Corolla but there is a catch. The trunk lid on the North American 2011-2013 is different than the rest of the world. While we got a slightly different design the rest of the world kept the same trunk from the 2009-2010. The inner...

    Tires

how much snow we talking about? in Canada the Hankook Optimo 4S is branded and sold as an all-weather tire. This past winter was my second with them and they work great all year. If you don't get much snow consider an all weather tire.

    Suggestions?

looks like a chip. Maybe form finger nail?. as Toy said just touch it up with black paint/marker. I don't think it can be "fixed". You could get a new button or used one from a wrecker, but then you have to take the steering wheel of and take it apart to change it...

Just Bought a 2017 Toyota Corolla IM, and have anxiety over something :-(

Nice car, I like the IM as well, I like the versatility. I test drove it when it was a Scion and I don't imagine there is any more issues with bumps and things than the regular sedan version.

Toyota Corolla 0W-20 oil - What's this about?

I took my 13 in to the dealer for oil change and it was about $70 Canadian, which was cheaper than anywhere else. However I now change the oil myself as it has been out of warranty and It cost less because I know don't have to pay for labour. Last few times I have used Mobil1, It has been on...

    Regular or Premium?

I don't waste my money on anything higher than regular. I "experimented" with premium and it was not worth it. In fact I think it got slightly worse mileage.

Well, on the same day (Feb 29th) I made sure gas cap was on correctly and disconnected battery for a few minutes and the light cleared. so far it has stayed off. I did fuel up just recently when the light came on. If it comes back on I will have it read. Thanks for the feed back.
