You might even try a light sanding between coats, if you use the same paint.

Thanks! I used the Krylon Fusion paint for plastics. It looks pretty good, the texture is still there along with the airbag stamp. I will suggest using very light coats and allow each coat to dry. The droplet size differs, no matter how much you shake the can. So give a little more drying time...

Are the 2014 mods compatible with 2017

2014-2016 and 2017+ are mechanically the same. Only difference is what you see and some different accessories. Headers, exhaust, springs, strut tower brace, rear sway bar, aftermarket intakes, etc. all basically unchanged since 2009

Amp power cable through firewall 2017 LE

There is no difference between 2014-2016 and 2017+. Other than cosmetic “upgrades” and accessories. That said, I have a 14 and have not seen any grommets available on the firewall. I ran a zero gauge wire through the firewall and was able to slip it in with the main harness that’s located...

    TRD lowering springs

This thread has me concerned. So I checked mine again last night. With TRD lowering springs and 18” wheels, I’m at +1.5 in the front and +2.5 in the rear. (This camber, not to be confused with ride height.) So, once it stop raining, I’ll be taking it for an alignment!

Auto dimming rear view mirror for Corolla 2017 SE

I don’t know if the wiring is there or not. Chances are, if you don’t have it from the factory, then there is not going to be a connector. I say this because I wanted to add the S mirrors, with turn signals, to my LE and the factory heated seats. No connectors are present for these options. I...

    Suspension questions

Guess I’ll be taking it in for an alignment. Yeah I know... a mechanic. I at least trust the shop up the street for an alignment. Plus it’s computerized.

It was pretty easy. The rear cover will come off if you pull it out from the bottom. I used a plastic panel popping tool on the bottom edges and then pulled with my fingers. Bought the USB plugs from AliExpress and the 12volt plug from Toyota Drill three holes and put it all together. Wrapped...

    Suspension questions

Nope, just springs. Been keeping a close eye on any tread wear, so far so good. But I’ve only driven a couple thousand since installed. The “mechanic” that installed the springs was impressed that nothing appeared to be off. I’ll be honest, I haven’t had my alignment checked yet. At least not...

From what I understand, you will not need to get the rear adjusted. But at least have it checked. For some reason I’m thinking that with coilovers, anytime you make an adjustment, it’s going to throw it off some. But then again, I’m not an arrogant Toyota technician either. Lol

    Pedal Commander Throttle Controller

I wouldn’t go as far to say flooring it. I’m sure your familiar with the slight lag between pressing on your pedal and engine response? This will “correct” that. IMO (I’m no engineer) but by adding 1 volt to the baseline voltage, for example, would trick the computer into thinking that you’ve...
