2015 1.8 CVT build and destroy.....

I will check my history when I get home, I found it searching for the standard auto specs for the 2014/15 L , it happened to include the CVT as well

2015 1.8 CVT build and destroy.....

a 2 minute google search yields the information on the 2014-15 CVTs from the design group. I do not have it bookmarked, but I did research before purchasing my 2015 when I was comparing the L with the standard auto vs the CVT models.

2015 1.8 CVT build and destroy.....

so why beg for funds? your prerogative, but I don't exactly hear the cash register singing from all the donations. You're still talking about an econobox cvt, not one designed for the power, the cvt in these cars is designed for 150% of it's rated power.Guess what happens then? I just saved...

    Seat covers

What mats are those? My generics are starting to annoy the crap out of me

    Seat covers

Sweet, thanks, those fronts actually fit a lot better than I expected, I need to add some lumber support for the seats in my L, and those look like they'd work great. The seat bottom for the rear is my main concern and as long as that fits, I'd prob be ok with that

2015 1.8 CVT build and destroy.....

It's fact. 1.8L 132hp(under 100 to the wheels).130ft lbs of torque. That does not a sports car make. Rear turbos are lossy and have tremendous lag. The CVT in the corolla is not designed for higher power applications. You bought an economy car. One that was rear ended and damaged, obviously it...

Thomas, any chance you can snap a couple pics so we can see what they look like installed?

2015 1.8 CVT build and destroy.....

You bought an economy car, want to turbo it, run it hard, grenade the CVT, and have people pay to fix it? I just want to make sure I'm getting all this. I'll bypass my despise for the entire GOFUNDME/cyberbegging thing. You realize this is not a performance car right? And will not without...

Anyone Have a Cargo Tote or Cargo Net

I have something very similar to this http://www.amazon.com/Space-Master-Vehicle-Cargo-Organizer/dp/B00S6TKGS8/ref=sr_1_68?ie=UTF8&qid=1441218435&sr=8-68&keywords=trunk+cargo+box works well, the folding part was key, the cheaper ones just fall over on themselves

    Gear box removal

are these two different requests? Here is info for boot/trim http://www.redlinegoods.com/Corolla14install.php The gearbox removal is a whole other issue and is obviously a multi hour project that will require a FSM

    tinting tail lights

BINGO, unless it's a show car and is a trailer queen, leave the lighting alone. Not only is it illegal, it's downright dangerous. I have had more than my share of modified vehicles, I get it, but I'm also a first responder and see what can happen when people can't see you. My old GTO was...

    385 miles on tank @80

Average User MPG: 38.0 Range: 33 - 42 MPG Updated On: 08/31/2015 assuming the average speed limit is 70(and that's on the high side) a quick google search shows the tdi getting roughly 38 at 80mph..+/- 3 mpg for stick vs auto diesels of any sort are not happy at higher rpms So yeah, short of...

    385 miles on tank @80

I expect you researched the car before buying it, lots of sites out there for reviews of this vehicle, all state that low 40's is best case scenario, and that's with borderline hypermiling. The economy on a diesel cannot be compared to a gas vehicle of the same size if you're driving...

    385 miles on tank @80

I notice a pretty quick dropoff in efficiency over 75mph. I drop to a little over 34 at 75-80. I tend to stick to 70, and get a pretty constant 41. 2015 L

    Headlight Customizing

depends where you are, you'll get tickets all day long here in Va for anything on headlights or tails. Non-standard colored bulbs in any exterior lights, and addition lights will all have you putting that thing back to stock pretty quickly. Eyelids are not always a bad thing(although I like more...

    Headlight Customizing

Looks good, careful around the police, I know around here you would end up with a "fix-it" ticket pretty quickly if not one for modified equipment

Trying popping the tab with a tiny screwdriver, it's tight.

    LED Map and Dome.

I cheated a bit, just ran them on the surface, I'll try to get a pic later. What I did was take the stock bulb, cut the "globe" part of the bulb off, soldered the led leads to the filament tabs on the bulb, and just popped it in place. The LEDs are surface mount with 3M tape and the wires are...

Very high curb=scratched up bottom piece

sand it down, paint the bottom inch with black bedliner, it will look fine, and touch ups will be a breeze, under $10, did something similar to the wife's car because she apparently has depth perception issues.

    LED Map and Dome.

There is a small tab on the front part of the"cage" that allows it to drop down. Even replacing the bulb with a multi-led bulb is nowhere near enough for the trunk. I ended up adding 2 3LED strips(good quality) and now the trunk is BRIGHT. 10 minute job
