I've used Nankang NS-20 for and Mayrun 500 tires which are both cheaper brands and they work well. I think those two tires are much better than the stock Firestones the OEM wheels come with. I'm not sure how the Nankang and Mayrun tires perform in snow but for dry and wet roads they seem to do...

I don't think it was worth it. Hardly noticeable drop and the OEM struts degrade quicker. As far as ride quality was, it felt more bouncy but not annoying.
