    I need new CV joints!

So my 2015 S plus is really protesting now when cornering and in reverse.....clacking from the cv joints...both sides...sigh. I'm only at 80k miles but driving hard has its $ downsides. I'm posting this to the forum as I need guidance for who to hire? I have confidence in my local Indy shop...

Replaced my 2015 climate control blower at 70k miles

My 2015 Corolla S plus has the climate control dash computer to set cooling/heating/auto modes and the blower settings. My blower has 70k miles and has lived a hard life getting used every day in sunny Florida. Recently it started acting up. The motor rpms would slightly drop intermittently...

    Corolla front squeak/clunk

I can relate. My 2015 S plus developed a creaking and groaning on the passenger side front end at around 55k. Initially I noticed it on hard launches making a right turn from a stop. Didn't hear it on hard left turns. Now I'm at 63k and I notice the noise coming from both sides when turning...

Most of us Probably have a "Recall" (CVT)

The fluid change presents options also. I looked online and it appears straighforward to do myself. Or I could pay dealer to do it with toyota oem fluid. Or pay a shop to do it perhaps with synthetic fluid. But....per the remote chance that my tranny develops a problem at higher mileage, having...

Most of us Probably have a "Recall" (CVT)

Thanks George. I've been digging thru the net looking for more info on this Jsd and saw your posts on toyotanation. I'vehad been thinking about a fluid change in about another 10k mikes @ 75k odometer. I don't want to combine a fluid change now with the Jsd cause then I would have 2 variables...

Most of us Probably have a "Recall" (CVT)

Are you aware of a specific mileage point or threshold where the premature wear shows up? Or can a lower mileage car be affected also? The 70k failure above caught my attention as I'm at 62k and I'm wondering where I stand....

Most of us Probably have a "Recall" (CVT)

Do I r.e.a.l.l.y need to do this cvt update? I just received my first notice last week from Toyota about the cvt service campaign. Haven't been on this board in months cause my 2015 S plus runs so great. I do my own service and car hasn't been to dealer....super reliable with 62,000 hard miles...

EBC Stage 5 Kit Front and Rear Brakes

Each axle has different size rotor....in both thickness and diam. I use redstuff on my 2004 Corolla. Best pads ever used in 40 years of driving. Will use on my 2015 S+ when time comes. Carid dot com has a nice Matched set of ebc hi carbon rotors and redstuff pads for about $400 for all 4...

A/C Takes a Bit to Get Cold

Some folks say that it "takes awhile for the hot stale air to get moving" through the vents if car has sat in hot sun for awhile. Wrong. Start the car, (cold start having sat for several hours minimum) with the ac off. Run car long enough to reach operating temp. Shut car off. Restart car and...

Read this entire thread for enlightenment. It's an effin design flaw. I have the exact same complaint.

Clunk noise when going over bumps?

I replaced stabilizer bar links on my 2004 Corolla with high miles and it fixed the clunking sound I would get over washboard roads or minor bumps. I don't have many potholes in Florida. The pass side was definitely worn once I had it in my hand for inspection. I doubt this is your problem with...

Ride quality.... so many negatives discussed in the Edmunds reviews

Per DK, the harness is typically standard across trim levels. I added factory fog lights from an S to an LE. All wiring was good to go. It was plug and play. DK added something, I forget what it was, but he had same experience. Have you pulled a door panel to see if the female bulb plug is...

    Tire Pressure Light

I was under the impression the cutoff point is approx 25%. So if you are running 32psi, the dash light won't trigger until it drops 8psi to 24-25psi. But you are saying the threshold is about 4psi? I top off my tires fairly regularly so I don't see 4-5 psi drops and can't confirm if the...

    Interior fuse box power tap?

There is a certain science to a fuse box. I've wired up a lot of projects over the years to cars, bikes, even a couple of boats. Fuses are the most important element in a circuit aside from the function of the circuit. Fuses must be properly rated to protect the wiring harness and the...
