Hey all, So my brothers girlfriends 2010 corolla is having major issues, it may or may not be related to her hitting a big puddle the other day, Basically a bunch of her lights are on and batter isn't charging. Her battery light, tire pressure light, abs light and maintenance light are all on. I hooked my scanner up and showed no pending or stored codes on the car. I saw that voltage was at 7.3 volts and was not charging, even after revving there was 0 increase in power, after a minute or two the voltage dropped down slowly to 6.6ish then shut off which at that point just didn't have enough battery to keep it on. I pulled the alternator and had that tested and it passed with a high of 14.4 and a low of 11.3 which is more then in spec. I spent a couple hours pulling that stupid fuseable link thinking that may be the cause since it controls everything that isnt working, the fuse link itself looks fine though, it isn't melted and from what i can tell nothing is blown and looks good. Could that still be bad? Someone told me that it sounds like the computer itself went out. Has anyone ran into this issue before / able to point me in some type of direction? There funds are very limited so im trying to help as much as i can, I can work on trucks all day and night, first time working on a car like this though. Any help would be much appreciated
