I was planning on getting 17x7 wheels and was wondering if I can put my 205/55/16 tires that came stock on to the after market wheels.

16 inch tires on 17 inch wheels, simple answer, no.

You can put your 205/55R16 tires on aftermarket 16" wheels but if you want 17" wheels you will want to buy a new set of 225/45R17 or 205/50R17 tires to put on them.
