Hey there guys!

So I am wanting to get a little more power out of my rolla. Currently I have a high air filter being installed but I was curious about the short ram. Is it possible to fit one in my engine bay? Is it worth it? I finally discovered the sweet spot to launch off the line but I was curious if there may be a difference between the short ram and the high air filter. I plan on putting some other performace parts into it in the future, but for now the high air filter is planned to be installed on the 18th.

Thanks!

Get a Pedal Commander! You won’t be sorry!! This should be everyone’s first mod. I was skeptic too, until I got one.

If you don’t know what it is, YouTube is a great resource.
It’s a module that goes between your accelerator pedal wiring harness (plug and play). It will eliminate the drive by wire lag. It’s like having all of your horsepower available from a dead stop. I have one and absolutely love it!
It’s a bit pricey but there are coupon codes available online, usually at 20% off with free shipping.

As for the intakes, see the other posts in the forum. There are lots of debates on this. I have had all of them. Upgraded filter in my OEM, cold air and short ram. I’m currently using the short ram with a Jetchip MAF sensor.

You Corolla owners bring a smile to my face trying to make it faster.

What are you guys racing? Toyota prius? Chevy spark?

You can put those bogus aftermarket MAF sensor on it, those ridiculous throttle manipulators, air intake systems and still get out ran by a Toyota Sienna

I say again, wanna race?
Cute hot air intake you got there. I see you're also running that bogus aftermarket $200 MAF sensor. All of those and the addition of your $300 throttle manipulator must have really turned your CVT auto economy car into a real beast.

It must be very thrilling driving a 10 second 0-60mph and 18 second 1/4 mile beast everday.

Brother you would get out ran by both a Toyota Sienna and Honda Odyssey mini-van so please don't go around asking for races.

Corollas are meant to be 30+mpg economy cars, hence the CVT auto and the Prius sized motor making a astonishing 130hp. Oops, I mean 132hp!, apologies.

Corollas take ~30 seconds to run 0 to 100mph for crying out loud!

What kind of a difference has it made.
It gained about +35HP and now does 0-60 in 6 seconds. My MPG is always 38+ and I drive the car hard all the time. My front tires squeal when I floor it from a stop and it chirps when the CVT goes to the next gear.

I raced a 2007+ Civic Si on the highway today from 40, 50, 60 to 100. It was a close race but I beat him by 4 cars. We raced 5 times. He honked all 5x

So if you took off traction control you could smoke the tires.
