Has anyone tried changing out their shift boot on an automatic? I got it all broken down and can't seem to get the leather piece off. Thanks for any help!

Flip it over and on the other side there are some more clips, then turn it inside out and cut the zip tie to get the silver thing off.

Do you need to take the clear plastic covering off the top to do so? I was looking at t for a solid 30 minutes trying to figure it out
