I bought a Escort Passport Max II radar detector, and it comes with a fuse wiring cord for power. But no instructions for what fuse to connect it to. The power port (cigarette lighter) is on a 15A fuse, if I connected it to that fuse, would that prevent sufficient power from going out to charge a cell phone? Would putting in a 20A fuse help?
The Max II works great, I have my iPhone to the left of the steering wheel, so it is easy to train it to recognize false positives (and there haven't been many at all).
I have a live wire on a 20A fuse that I am going to connect to the fuse adapter when I get it. It is for the sunroof, but I don't have a sunroof.

Valentine is OK but if you want the latest and greatest get the one I got. The max 360 for 650 dollars. I love the directional arrows. GPS learning. I played with the phone app but to me its a distraction usually. WAZE is what I have on most times. Detection range is amazing and I have the ability to lower speed below other cars well before the cop is visible. Does not have stealth cloaking like the redline though. The 360 can show multiple alerts on the display, the LED color is changeable, sounds editable, its a complicated device with built in bluetooth, gps, and i love the power cord which has its own indicators and a usb in to charge phone since the power thing is taken.
