looking to buy new rims

So my buddy's performance shop offered me a crazy deal 1200 rims brand new for 610. My issue is they are 18x9 35mm the same tim in 18x8 is 1050. Wouldn't mid saving the cash arena going wider if it fits with out rubbing.
Tire options are 215 40 18 or 225 40 18
Stock height right now and do not want any rubbing issues.
I aren't sure some of u guys tried this already. Thanks in advance

Shouldn't be a problem. I ran 18x8.5 +35 on coilovers and didn't need to roll fenders.

For 18" wheels if you run 35 series you should be fine whether you run stock ride height or lowered.

I'd go with the 18x8 and run a 245 wide tire. Stock on the S+ is 215/45R17 and that is a 17x7 if I recall correctly.
