HELP!!! Exhaust

I dunno man. What exhaust do you have? I have the borla exhaust with the K&N drop in filter and it sounds great but not rice at all. No idea if there's much difference between a good drop in filter and a full CAI for our small engine car. Even if there is, will it be a 250$ difference? the drop in was around 50$ and if i recall a good CAI is something like 300$. Not worth it to me anyway. just my 2 cents
Instead of a completely new intake system, you just replace it with a high flow drop in air filter. Still made by K&N, lasts a lifetime (instead of replacing it, you clean and re oil it using their kit), and gives you better airflow which in turn gives you better mpg and a couple horsepower. Nothing major though. I have no idea the exact amount but at the very least the throttle response seemed better and the engine seemed to growl a little better after I put it in.

They also make one for the cabin air filter. I have it and I recommend it. You just wash it and "recharge it" using their kit rather than buying a new one every couple months.

I went ahead and did a drop in air filter ... Now I need to get an exhaust but I want to bargain for one and not pay 346 or 400$ lol it's not in the budget hope borla can give me a discount

I've watched a lot of YouTube videos on these CIA's. Seen a lot of dyno before and after. No conclusive evidence that CIA's will increase the output of our Corolla's. The tests I've seen actually lower the hp. The stock set up is engineered very well.
I saw better gains with the short ram intake but again, lowering output. I just went with the K&N drop in.

The stock airbox on the Corolla is really restrictive. A freer flowing intake and exhaust will definitely bring gains to the Corolla. With a simple tune, you could easily double your gains and get the most potential out of a CAI and exhaust. The only cars where they would lose power with aftermarket intakes are sports oriented cars like an S2000 or GTR because those systems are designed to be high performance in the first place. Here's a video that just goes to show what a simple I/H/E mod can do:
(He has a thread on TN and he states that he made about 9-10hp and that may not sound like much but it definitely shows that they do work.)

I've asked the tuning company and as of right now, they are still cracking the 11th gen ECU's. The ECU in the 10th gen Corolla and Matrix is a Denso unit and that is the one they have successfully got into (keep in mind, they are the first company to ever crack into these ECU's...like it's never been done before on a Toyota) but the ECU in the 11th gen and some other Toyota's is a Delphi unit. They said that they are still working on them but you can directly contact them and ask too just to get an update on the status.

I'm excited myself for them to crack more Toyota ECU's and tune them because it will bring a bigger market to us as well as give us more options.
