"Workers at McDonald's and other fast-food chains conducted strikes and walkouts in nearly 60 cities Thursday, hoping for super-size wage hikes that for many would boost their hourly pay to $15 from the current federal minimum $7.25."
Really? You expect to get $15/Hour for working at a fast food place? Sure, lets increase your pay by almost double. That is, as long as you increase my pay by almost double. After all, I've invested countless days and nights with no sleep in my education and training. Yet you expect to get close to what many Entry-Level Diesel Mechanics (out of trade school) make? Set yourself apart from the average bear and then lets talk about paying you that much.
