Hi,
I am from Finland. I own 2006 toyota corolla 1.6 petrol, station wagon. I just bought this car in January. The previous owner was using 185/65/R15 as winter tyres and 195/60/R15 for summer tyres.
Yesterday I had to replace the winter tyres as the old ones were bad. They replaced the same size 185/65/R15. I didnt realize the size difference until today, and when I looked on the previous inspection papers, the recommended size was 195/60/R15.
Now, I am concerned about the safety with narrower tyres. When I asked about this at the tyre shop, they said the narrower is better in winter, and it is legal. Is it true ? Should I be concerned about the safety ?
