Toyota Corolla Keyless Remote Fob not working

2007 Toyota corolla: My remote key fob recently stopped working, I have changed the battery and have followed all the steps given on the internet. At a stage you can hear all the doors lock and unlock twice. But when I simultaneously press the lock and unlock buttons of the fob within the 1.5 seconds followed by the lock button with a second, I don't hear the "beep" to indicate that the remote has been accepted. Pls why? Help me.

This just started happening to my 2003 and all of the sudden it started working again. I changed my battery and now it's back to doing it again. Does anybody know why or how to fix this? I put in a call to Toyota. If I find out how to fix it, I'll let you know.
