My 2007 Corolla was recalled for replacement of the Takata Airbag. Dealer did the replacement 23 Jul. The service manager says they needed to clean the throttle body because the battery was disconnected for the Airbag replacement. The battery disconnect caused the engine to re-learn driving habits and that in-turn caused the engine to idle lower than spec. I was billed $74.00 for a throttle body rinse. I believe Toyota or Takata should be responsible for this cost since their faulty airbag created the subsequent problem. I see no evidence of the throttle body being cleaned and the story by the service manager sounds fishy at best. Did I get ripped off by the dealer?
