Sound deandening

#2
has anyone used sound deander in their corolla like dynmat? If so did it help with road noise?
no it will not, have tried this and it did not work at all...for sound deadening matt to work your car needs to literally be covered in it.....for example: before its built, thats why you only see custom cars with matting because they are able to take the whole car apart.

Josh, do you have pics of it installed? I just have it hard to belive if i double layer the doors, truck, rear deck, and floor. That it wont reduce road noise

My LE Eco Premium is really quiet on the road. The Michelins it came with were rated pretty quiet as well. It's not Camry quiet, but it's close.

May as well get a Lexus at that price point, unless you really want the full size car.
I like fulls size cars, but the major downside to Lexus is the parts are so much more expensive, so I stick to Toyota. The new Avalon is awesome, just not good enough on gas for what I need right now.

Also check out the Ford Fusion. It is one of the quietest mainstream cars and is only 1 decimal louder than a Lexus ES350. Mine was whisper quiet. The a Corolla by comparison roars.

Dynomat only works if you do the whole door. Not just part of it. It's also only benifical if you have subs and all new speakers as well.
Any is better than none.
Not sure what you're saying as far as the sound system goes.
Sound deadening will help quiet the car and make the system SEEM louder, as there is less background/ambient noise. It will increase sound quality as well, but certainly NOT only beneficial if you have a system.
Doors normally are the first thing to hit, then firewalls and floors. You don't need to cover the entire panel to see difference, but obviously it is preferred.
There is a lot of material out there, that works just as well as Dynamat, for a fraction of the price.
As small as our vehicles are, you can cover all untreated surfaces for $100-200 depending on which material you choose.
