hi. i became the proud owner of a 97 corrolla not too long ago. it ran for a little while and then broke down. the last major thing that happened was when the fuel pump was changed. after the work was done, i tried turning it over and smoke, not much almost like what you would see off a cigarette, came from the positive terminal. just the positive. new parts since it broke down: fuel pump, fuel filter, exhaust manifold and gasket, valve cover gasket, spark plugs and wires, distributor cap, and the ignition coil pack. when i turn the key now it just wont start. it's almost there but won't. also, i have not fully heard the fuel pump engage when the ignition is turned on. can anyone help?
