Two mechanics say that the obvious stuff like coils are not the cause, and both, independently say it's the cylinder or head gasket and that I might as well replace the engine for around $4200.
Both found low compression.
The third mechanic was on his way to do a leak down test and found a bad pcv valve and a dirty throttle body. I'm going to do that for $500.
Any ideas? Could this cause

- 3 60 psi
- 4 85 psi
