Replacement motor

I need to replace my 1.8ltr motor in a 2010 Corolla sedan automatic. What year Corolla's motors will fit my car? Thanks

Read your state's automotive repair website for guidelines. It should be exactly the same type of engine from the same year. Once I replaced my Honda Civic engine, and it was a rebuilt engine from Japan. Although it was the same year and make, the serial number was not on the list in the state's emission book. I had to get a special sticker from a state emission referee for the new engine to be legal.
