drum brakes took forever to connect upper spring with adjuster like you need a third hand.
I thought a hose clamp (8" ventilation duct) would help.
turns out it works great, holds shoes together so the wheel cylinder stays compressed and adjuster can be positioned and spring installation is so easy I wish I was told of this before I did the brakes because on my first attempt the piston came out and cut the seal making me replace the wheel cylinder. a zip tie or connecting two clothes dryer vent clamps should work just wanted to share
