Possible 2013 Corolla S purchase (Advice Needed)

#1
Hey All,

I'm considering purchasing a 2013 Corolla S with only 16,000 (sixteen thousand) miles on it. Basically brand new. Interior is in great condition as well. I've been looking around but it's hard to find comparables with that year and number of miles. I see the KBB value but im not entirely sure if the asking price is a good deal.

What's the max that folks here would consider paying for this Corolla ?

Also is there anything I should specifically check out on this particular year / model ?

I'm on mobile and am not sure if this post is ok as I didn't see any guidelines. Mods
please remove if this is against forum rules or etiquette. Thanks all!

I'm in Canada so it would be a bit different here. My first question would be why only 16000 miles? Who owned it? why was it not driven? Check history for accidents. Check maintenance history on it. I have a 2013 and love it, I've change oil and filters, replaced the serpentine belt, only because I wanted to and it has almost 100k on it. if it all checks out then I would buy it, if it is with in the price range. At the end of June I bought a 2012 Chrysler 200 with only 12900 kms on it. I did get it from a dealer but it has only a $1500ish accident on the rear (so basically bumper cover) and records show a good maintenance history on it. It was $10500 cdn and I could not pass it up. Because it is a Chrysler and where I bought it I am sure it was an older person who owned it and just drove it for shopping and to the doctors office which is the reason for the low mileage on it. Get a mechanic to check it out to make sure all is good.

We leased a 2013 we wanted to dump it A.S.A.P. held on to the lease and when over got a 2016. the lease is almost up and a 2019 will be had. I bought out the 2010 lease we also had and still today love it. Why the 2013 we did not like. SLUGISH, less Mileage per Gallon. in the low 30's while our 2010 well over 40. as well our 2016? otherwise it was a good car .

16K low mileage person simply wants to move on and whatever the book value is will be all you, each state varies. I guess it may sell for 10K. no warranty AS IS.

ifwe had the price that was asking we won't steal it under your nose ( ha ha ha ) good luck I grab it if it was perfectly right for you.
