Key repair for 2015 Corolla

My key fell apart and Toyota won't cover it under warranty. Ihave all the pieces and nothing has been damaged. Can I put it together and it would work or do I need to program it. or buy a new key. Has anyone else had this problem?

I would think you could put it back together and it should work. You have take them apart to replace a battery so I don`t see any difference.

You can buy just the housing for it on Amazon or eBay, and just put the guts in the new housing.
