High Beams Issue

Hi All

I have a 1995 Corolla CSi Seca, i have a problem with the High Beams, the lights are fine have checked normal light work fine as well, dash lights all fine etc.
The problem is when i click the high beams towards me the high beams work and the blue light on the dash comes up. But when i flick the high beams away for me (what i call constant high beams) the blue indicator in the dash turns on but the lights dont even come up (park lights still working).

have checked the globes, fuses all are fine.

Anyone got any ideas?

My pathfinder does the same thing... Driving without lights is not fun huh?

My guess is it's a problem with the light switch on the steering column. If you wiggle the switch around will the lights come on? In my pathfinder, I've found that if I press the switch into the steering column when I turn off high beams the regular lights come on without a problem. (Usually )

Thanks for the reply, normal lights come up as they should, its just when i go to click to high beams they dont come up and they just turn off completely...
im assuming its something within the column but havnt had the chance to take it in.
