Help! Please!! And some questions

#1
Alright first off i would like to say thank you for looking at my post. I have a 2006 corolla xrs that i am wanting to replace the motor in. So here is what happened,i miss shifted blew the oil pump, warpped valves. So question # 1 is im wondering if any one has a write up witj pictures videos ETC. or anything to pulling the motor and reinstallation? I have tried to find haynes/chilton manual but everything i have come across is for the none xrs modles specifically says "excluding xrs modles" now i have found the pdf files on monkey wrench website the pdf files for the celica that had the 2zz-ge but that will ne absolete considering the wiring and vaccums are more than likely completely different and that is my biggest concern. The vaccum lines and wiring. Im fairly mechanicaly inclined but most things i have done major repairs on have been older and more simplified. I have not had the chance to pull a motor before. So would love to have some literature and a guide. Question #2 has any one purchased anything from the monkey wrench website i am looking at buying either the crate motor or one of their rebuilds due to all parts store are wanting 5-7 thosand for a remanufactured motor and have seen several thungs i would love to buy! Any and all help is greatly appreciated!!! 20161201_141310.jpg Well thanks in advance

I suggest you weight out your cost, time, and headaches. Most XRS owners, I have known will just dump the car and get a new one. It’s just too many headaches than it’s worth.

You might have to venture to the Toyota MR2, Matrix XRS, or Celica GT-S forums

I know that swapping 1zz to a 2zz isn’t friendly. Do as much reach as possible and do everything on paper first.
