Air Vent Control Knob Doesn't Change Where Air Comes Out

The interior air flow only comes out of the dash vents AND the vents by the feet simultaneously, no matter what the air vent control knob is set on. The fan speed DOES increase or decrease the amount of air flow and the air does heat up or cool down according to what the temperature is set for or if A/C is on.

There is no change to where the air comes out, no change in the resistance as I'm rotating the control knob, and no noises or clicking at all when moving the air vent control knob from position to position.

Please let me know where to look or direct me to something to lead me through to resolution. Thank you!

I'm having the exact same problem in my 2010 Corolla. And I live in Texas so driving with no AC is brutal lol. Hopefully someone on here helps us out.

look behind your glove box, see if anything fell and is blocking stuff. also if a hose fell off vacuem pushes controls. that may be on the knobs area. if you look at the ac cabin filter you may just see it moving the in/out vent. never hurts to look around right?
