So my wife's 2014 Toyota Corolla has a mind of its own. Sometimes it'll work and sometimes it won't. It seems to work at idle sometimes and when you go to drive it then it begins to get warm or hot. Yesterday I put a Mahle A/C machine on it to check the pressures but the whole time at the shop I work at it was blowing cold air. The pressures were about 40 psi on the low and 200 on the high. The low side was cold by touch. The high side was hot by touch. I have noticed that when it wasn't working properly the lines were hot on both sides like the expansion valve was restricted or something like that. I know some fundamentals of A/C but I'm no guru at it. Anyone with any advice? I know about the TSB to replace the compressor. There's no fault codes in the HVAC module and when I hold the automatic button and the recirc button both it does a self test of the HVAC electrical system (supposedly) and it displays "00" meaning no faults. By the way there's no relay for the compressor.
