2013 Extended Warranty or Not ??

#1
Just hit 36,000 miles and was considering buying the extended warranty for another 60-72 k miles direct from Toyota . I think 60 k is around $1900 and 72 k is $2400 . This covers everything from bumper to bumper. I would still be paying for oil changes , brake pads ,and anything from wear and tear .
With it being a Corolla I really think it may be a waste , I use mobil one oil and I can do brakes myself .Any thoughts are welcome. Thanks folks

For $1,900, for that to be worth it, the car would have to have a catastrophic failure of the engine or transmission. The likelihood of that happening with a quality vehicle like the Corolla I think is very, very small. This is why they push extended warranty plans so much, because it makes them a ton of money.

Mobil makes a fine product, however I can get you a superior product, AMSOIL, for much lower cost. The two tests below document this. AMSOIL also offers a pour-in warranty that covers all engine parts against lubricant related failures at no extra cost to you. Private message me for a price quote -
