Hey everyone. Hope this doesn't get too long winded. 1st an update on the cruise control install. An absolute "piece of cake"! The entire time only took about 50 minutes, including the test drive. Watched the technician do the job. Don't even have to disconnect the battery. Air bag will not deploy. Very happy with the outcome. I supplied the parts. Now to the subject of my title. I have had my 2013 Corolla 1 month this weekend. And the more I have it and really scrutinize it, the more I realize what a piece of crap they are! And I haven't even made my 1st payment! I seriously don't think it will hold 2gether the full 5 years of payments!! I just don't see it. It's nothing more than a vacuum formed, or injection molded, color impregnated piece of plastic. It's definitely not worth the money Toyota gets for them. The top of the line Corolla S, shouldn't sell for anymore than $8000-$9000 including all taxes and any hidden garbage they attach to a sale!! And that's pushing the envelope at that price. I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt. And now onto gas mileage and miles you're able to go on a tank of gas. It's nowhere near what Toyota says. They say, right on the window sticker, that 3 gallons of gas you should get 100 miles, and another claim is approximately 356 miles to a tank. NOT HAPPENING!!! The miles per gallon is not equating out to the miles per tank. I'm driving 32 miles per day round trip to work, or 160 miles a week. I should be able to go 2 weeks between fillups. Again, NOT HAPPENING!! Maybe a week and a half at best. I keep it set at 70-75mph on I-95. So together with the products used to construct the vehicle and the misleading fuel claims, I'll have to keep it a year in order for my credit to be good, and then it's "SEE YA" Corolla. I was gonna invest in a nice set of wheels and do a seat cover interior by Clazzio, which is the best around, but the car, as far as I'm concerned, isn't worth the cost of the wheels and interior!! But at 71, that saying surely applies to me...."There's no fool like an old fool"!! Thanks for listening. Sincerely Jay
