2010 Corolla Vibration Under dash - driving me crazy

I have not hit anything etc. Suddenly my usually quiet corolla has this lingering vibration noise emenatinng from under or in the driver's side dash. It sort of sounds like if you have an empty can of soda, lift the tab and fling or flick the tab...sort of a tin sounding vibration. It occurs when I hit certain patches of rough road. At first I though it was the spring attached to the brake but thas not it. Its driving me crazy. Any ideas?

I had this mystery noise. I put a lil thing in the top center sunroof slot and months later removed it noise went away. all I am saying is did oyu put things in a slot to cause that noise, noise can travel

do you have a sunroof? Check my post headliner noise finally squashed.

No sunroof. I think I solved it. It was not coming from the dash but rather under the driver's seat. There is some sort of flimsy flat metal thing under there and it was vibrating. I bent it up a little and the noise dissapeared. Thank God!

glad you finally found it till another one appears (joking) sometimes it is something so simple, did anyone sit in the back seat, or you put anything under, to cause it Lol.

No, someohow I thought I heard something under there...reached under and felt this metal thing hanging down. I flicked it and noticed the sound I was hearing. I was vibrating at times. I bent it up...probelem solved. I really should look under there to see what the heck it was...
