How can i tell what engine i have in my 2005 corolla xrs?

There should be an engine decal in the engine bay somewhere, usually on the underside of the hood, but it can be on the radiator support too. That engine decal will tell you which engine the car is equipped with. Failing that, if you call a Toyota dealers Parts Department and provide them with the last eight digits of the VIN, they can tell you which engine it has.
