2003 Corolla Won't Start (Bruce & Andy)

#1
Hello all,
I'm brand new to this site and I have an issue with my son's 03 Corolla. His car was working fine yesterday. He came out of work to leave and when he turned the key there was nothing. All of the lights, radio, everything worked with the key in the ignition but there wasn't a sound when he turned the key to start it. I tried jumping him with my 05 Corolla but nothing. Any ideas? Does he need a new battery? Fuses?
Thanks

Welcome to the Corolla Forum! :thumbup1::):thumbup::party::balloon::rockon:

The battery and starter should be checked, followed by checking the alternator.

By your description, it sounds like there's enough power in the battery to run the lights and radio, but not enough to turn the starter and start the engine.

Jump starting can take 10 minutes or more of charging from the car providing the jump start if the battery being jump started is totally dead.

That'll be $20, thank you. :D
