2002 toyota corolla starts and then drive it for whatever 10-20min and the it stalls out and won't start again. The engine cranks over like it wants to start but wont. I ripped out the back seat and banged on top of the fuel pump 5-10 time and it started.. I've done this 15-20 times and it started every time..is it safe to say I need a new fuel pump? Just trying to make sure it ain't anything else before I buy a new pump. I guess the bushing wear out on the fuel pump motor and by banging on it it moves it off the dead spot and the pump motor then catches.. am I far off?? Just wanted to ask to make sure I ain't missing anything..
Any input I would greatly appreciate
THANKS!!!
