Can't be fixed. The guy that wrote the program for this generation toyota wrote it so it would time-out at 299,999. I have a 2006 Matrix that's been there for about a year.

Yea, I don't get it. An earlier post from jolly, who is 6'1" says that his seat goes back way far enough. I feel like his knees would be up in the steering wheel in mine.

Well then something isn't right. I can put my feet flat up against the firewall. Maybe the stopper under the seat is to far forward.

Is there a way to make the driver's seat adjust more to the rear? I am not very tall, 5'10" and I have the seat all the way back, and it's still not far enough? Can you move the rear stop back so the seat will adjust more to the rear?

So let me get this straight, at times, (not always), when I have the Cruise Control engaged and I am on the down side of an over pass or hill, the RPMs will go up to about 4500 RPMs, like the trans is in neutral, (the engine seems to be racing), and then when I get the bottom of the hill, or...

2015 Corolla S. I was I the highway, with the cruise on, about 70 mph. When coming down a hill or overpass, the trans acted like it was in neutral for about 5 seconds. RPMs went up to about 4500; it finally re-engaged. Is this normal? CVT Trans.

Yep! Kind of seems like it's slipping, but I was assured that it's not. Toyota tech told me, if something goes wrong with the trans, it will pop a code and you will get a light.

Welcome! I have a 2015 S. Awesome little car. I am sure you'll like your 2014. Just getting used to the CVT trans. I had a 2006 Corolla Matrix that my youngest son drives now. Has 288,000 miles on it and still rolling.

So I guess you'll be able to better distinguish when it's shifting correct?

I thought you had to use the shift paddles in sport

Looking for opinions on this new CVT. I just bought a 2015, not sure I like it at slow speeds. Seems to be great on the highway. Anyone had any trouble with it?
