I have a Corolla CE 2005 (auto gear). When I accelerate the car quickly (after moving from the signal lights etc to reach the prescribed speed of 60kmph) I feel, at 30-40 kmph, it is not very smooth or quick. I feel sort of resistance in speeding even though engine is raising. But after 40 kmph...
