Update : The speaker came in and it was fairly easy to replace it . I needed to drill out the old rivets and a rivet gun is also needed for the new speaker . 20 minutes later everything it’s working .

Same issue here . I checked the connections at the twitters and looks ok . Mtsears, can you elaborate a bit on the location of the splice ? Are you talking about the small speakers by the mirrors ?
