    Flickering dash lights

No problem! A lot of battery issues with Corolla’s these days. Mine died at 24 months. Our Highlander died at 36. I swear there’s a timer on factory batteries!! I now have Interstate batteries in both vehicles. Can’t beat em!

    Speaker replacement

A pair of wires (+/-) leave your radio and go the tweeter first. Then another pair (+/-) drop down from your tweeter to your bottom speaker. They should be easily identified at the tweeter connection. Two wires will have a blue stripe and two will have a white strip. (Colors may vary) So wires...

Spontaneous Window Crack, 17 Corolla, no prior chips or nicks. Anyone else?

There was someone on a Facebook group last week that was doing some suspension work and had this happen to them too. I’ve jacked my 14 up a hundred times and have never had a problem. But, one of my first mods was to add a strut tower brace. Maybe that brace has helped more than I know...

    Humming sounds and mystery wires

Take it back! Looks like someone has done some shady mods to it and that’s why they sold it. (How’s that for alarming!) Have the dealer check it out. I hate how dealerships advertise as “Certified Pre-owned”. Usually these are just lease vehicles that have been turned it.

    Braking with 18s on?

What size rubber did you put on the rims? If you calculated it correctly, there shouldn’t be any noticeable change.

    Corolla S 2016 seat weight?

Some good information here. But no special tools are required to remove the stock seats from the car. Maybe to disassemble the seats, but not to remove them. I have an LE with cloth seats. Nothing special. Drivers seat has 3 connectors, passengers seat has 4, more if you have butt warmers. The...

    Corolla S 2016 seat weight?

I just had mine out Tuesday. Didn’t think to weigh them. I would say 50 lbs is high. Closer to 30, if that.

    Grinding noise on startup

This is what my Highlander does every time I start it. I’m told that it’s normal. That it’s the relay solenoid over cranking. Has more to do with the push to start feature. Which I don’t have. Apparently the PTS models don’t do this, only key crank.
