It sounds like if this mechanic is doing such extensive work on the car, I'd think more about how his track record as a mechanic is, perhaps more-so than the corolla history. It sounds like you are getting a car that is going to be significantly re-built. Is he putting in new corolla motor...
That link did now work for me. But generally speaking, a lot of time the Halo/LED lights come down to a "you get what you pay for". If you can afford the more expensive ones, I think you will be happy with them.

From what I'm seeing, they are not planning on any extensive updates for 2011. I could be wrong though.
I do think they will come out with a face-lift for 2012 though, to freshen up the look. That's my guess.

I start to think about changing the oil once I hit 3,000 miles, but usually it ends up being 5,000 when I actually get it done.
I've seen oil companies advertise that their oil can last 15,000 miles, but I wouldn't take the change!
