    2016 Corolla SE Announced

Yeah, that's how most of them all are now. You would need lowering springs to close the gap, but then you risk hitting your front bumper on dips when you pull out or in to a place that has it. My FR-S was the same way when I first bought it. Pretty large wheel gap on the stock 17's. When you...

    2016 Corolla

Sounds good to me. I'll be happy with just minor changes and improvements along the way with the current style of model. I really like the look of the 2015 Corolla S in blue crush. I bought a first year model 2013 Scion FR-S, and that was a gamble. I'm very thankful that my car hasn't had a...

Compare Prius C TWO and Corolla LE Auto

My problem with the Prius is how they ride. I had a few cab rides in San Francisco when I was there for business and they mostly had Prius for their cars. Absolutely the worst car I have been inside in a long time. Rough ride, feels cheap like it's only made for one thing, MPG. Comfort was...

    Corolla LE ECO

I think the Corolla S is a better buy. Not to mention the LE Eco is very limited on the lots to find at least in my area. The gas mileage difference is negligible so I think it would come down to looks and features.

    2016 Corolla

Anyone looking forward to what the 2016 model has to offer? I loved the 2015 Corolla S I drove, but after looking at my situation, I will be better suited to get a 2016 Corolla S probably at the end of this year. My thought process is this. 2014 was the big redesign. 2015 was a few minor...

Owner Complaints For The 2014 Corolla

Did you realize it was a giant waste of time too because there is no true fix for that issue? I had a pump replaced and Toyota brought in engineers to look at it and they even tried to insulate the pump with a foam insulation. It didn't change anything. They gave up and so did I. The chirps...

Premium Fuel - Is It Worth It?

Purchasing higher octane than what the car requires is just wasting money. The car is properly tuned to run on regular gas for a reason. The only thing higher octane does is prevent knock for higher compression engines or forced induced engines. This is not a very high compression engine at...

    What Gas Do You Use?

Using anything beyond 87 octane is a waste of money. The car is tuned to run on 87 octane and is not high compression. I would stick to Chevron/Shell if you want good quality gas with good detergents and stay away from the cheapo ones. When it really comes down to it, your engine will thank...

2015 Corolla - Car Feels "Busy" At Highway Speeds

About 1/8" toe in on the rear.

2015 Corolla - Car Feels "Busy" At Highway Speeds

To me, when a car wobbles at high speeds, it sounds like the alignment needs to be adjusted. Maybe needs some slight toe in for higher speeds to counter the natural toe out from force. I had this problem in my FR-S when I told the guy I wanted some slight toe in for the rear and he put it at...

    2014 Corolla - Fumoto Valve

I think it just makes it a lot less messier more than anything. Yes, the Corollas do have a very nice drain plug. This just keeps you from getting your hands all oily until you have to prime the filter. :)

    2009 Corolla S - New Here!

The manual transmission is a dying art in this day and age. Kudos for teaching your kids how to become a great driver and not just a good driver.

    Scraped My Car :(

Is your Corolla lowered? Most of them sit fairly high off the ground to begin with, but there are some areas of towns that are just awful with exits onto a highway from a place of business. Good chance your scrape is somewhere that can't be seen underneath the front fascia. I wouldn't worry...

    2014 Corolla - Fumoto Valve

Nah, it's not that easy for something like that to open it. Unless your car is slammed and you're driving in a field, you don't have much to worry about. It's locked pretty well in its closed position and does not sit low enough to be a worry about something hitting and opening it. If you're...

    2014 Corolla - Fumoto Valve

In case people were interested in doing future and easy oil changes, I highly recommend one of these: http://www.fumotousa.com/results.php?make=79&year=2014&model=33140&makeid=Toyota I have this on my 2013 Scion FR-S, and also my fiance's 2013 Dodge Dart. These make oil changes a breeze and...

Premium Fuel - Is It Worth It?

I typically stick to Chevron for my gas. I don't think I have gotten a bad tank at all from them at the one I go to. Shell would be my secondary station if no Chevron was available. Good quality gas makes quite a difference to your internals over several years and 100k miles.

    New Here, No Corolla Yet

Yeah, the backseat is pointless. You have a good plan there. The 5.0's are fast and good weekend warrior cars. The Corolla will get me to work and back without forking gas (premium) into it every week. The FR-S thankfully gets decent gas mileage (I average 27-29 a tank) so that saves me...

2015 Corolla - Will I Need New TPMS Sensors on My New Aftermarket Wheels?

Good to know! TPMS are not cheap for a set of 4. Do tire shops like Discount Tire have these straps on hand to mount or is this something you need to plan on grabbing if you do buy aftermarket wheels?
