I don't think any service offer is good on a Toyota. What maintenance would possibly need to be done besides oil, air filter, cabin filter, brake pads after a lot of miles and checking fluids?
Very true. Not to mention 16" wheels vs the 17" on the Corolla S Plus and Premium is savings on tires as well. Overall, it is a great buy and fits the bill for what I am looking for. The one I'm looking to buy also comes with the Michelin MXVP tires as well which I am happy about. One of the...
2013 Scion FR-S. Looking for something a bit bigger and just more practical from driving to work and back and weekend runs to stores. Modded the hell out of the FR-S and now it's back to stock to sell. Real fun car, but has some quirks.
Buying a 2015 Corolla LE Eco Premium here in a week or...
The stock air filter is not meant to be reused. They're very cheap and you can buy a new one for it. Aftermarket filters that are oiled or designated as "reusable" like K&N filters you can keep. Some of them are oiled and require to be washed then re-oiled.
The cabin filter you should...
I'm about to buy a 2015 Corolla LE Eco Premium. It's been discounted pretty nicely and I'm having it shipped to me. Any increase in gas mileage is welcome and the more advanced engine is a plus. The only thing I dislike is the rear drum brakes, but my 1990 Accord had drum brakes in the rear...
Hard to say since the new Skyactiv generation has only been out a few years. So far they're looking pretty solid. Biggest issue is the infotainment system needs updates due to crashing/freezing.
For what purpose? Sound? Cold air intakes don't really do anything on their own but make you spend a lot of money for what you think is more horsepower when it just sounds louder in the engine bay. There are people who have done it, but I can tell you it's not worth it unless you're going to...
Converting to HID? Just need to take out the bulbs and have ballasts mounted. Some cars aren't too happy with aftermarket solutions though. As long as it comes with a good projector, you can make an aftermarket HID work, but you will lose your high beam capability unless you do a full on...
My mistake. I thought they came with HID's with the same ballasts as Lexus models. The good news is that it's such an easy conversion since the Corolla has projectors, but you would lose the DRL functionality without a separate bulb wired for it.
LED foglamps are more for looks when matching...
You can put a clear film on the front windshield that is ceramic and keeps the heat off the dashboard, which is legal. You cannot darken the front windshield however, but these rules vary from state to state. Here in Texas I can only do the film and the sunscreen at the top with a darker 25%...
These wings are just hideous and stupid. I can't believe people waste so much money on them thinking they do something on their slow car. It doesn't even look good because it doesn't belong on that car. Just another thing to laugh at on the road.
Silly Lancers.
Problem with those 5 you listed is they require even more than just those.
Brakes, tune, a transmission that can handle the torque, and the worst problem of all, this needs to be RWD and not FWD.
My list for this car would probably just be one thing:
1.) Tune
Unless you want to get...
Trying not to be too harsh with this.
Cons
"Exterior:
#1 Carbon Fiber Wing Spoiler (Mainly for looks as this is only a Corolla, but at high speeds will create downforce that you will notice. May reduce MHG but worth looking awesome in a corolla!)
Sorry, that is not true. This car does not go...
It's too hard to tell. There isn't much data on the newer Mazda Skyactiv platforms since they ditched Ford. The only thing that holds me back from going Mazda is the sole fact I don't know how reliable they are down the road.
You should drive the Mazda 3 S Grand Touring and I think your opinion will change. The options in that car are extremely nice, but it comes with a price. The 2.5L engine has some nice power too.
Wow, very impressive numbers. Based on my commute to work, wonder if I can pull at least 35 mpg. It's about 70% city, 30% highway though, few hills, more downhill on the way home. About a 14 mile commute each way.
