    Highway mpg

You're just wasting money by doing that. The engine is designed to run on regular unleaded. Premium provides no benefits. It's still good to use Shell and Chevron since they are top tier gas stations. Premium is for higher compression engines and some turbo charged engines. Unless the...

2014-15 Corrolla Complete DIY Parts for Modding/Upgrades List

It's not. I just traded in an FR-S for this car so I'm done modding for a while. I'm keeping mine bone stock because it is in fact an eco point A to point B car. The most I am doing to the car is this: Yellow fog lights Fumoto valve with nipple for painless oil changes. Xpel Ultimate wrap on...

    Oil Change - how often?

I'll be getting one of these: http://www.fumotousa.com/parts.php?partname=F103N&partnumber=30 Once you use one, you will never go back to traditional oil changes with the drain plug ever again. I had one on my FR-S and it was fantastic. I'll put one on my Corolla once I'm past the free...

    Corolla LE ECO

Sure thing! I have to get a lot of bug guts off on the front. I also noticed the beam on the front where the front license plate goes is not that fake looking carbon fiber either. It's painted a dark gray that looks real nice. My front license plate also was not drilled on, so if I happen to...

    Toyota Corolla 2015 Door Problems

I would find a different dealer. That's a new car and it should not be doing that at all. The door lining is going to have to come off to look at the locking mechanism and why it's not catching. Almost sounds like its slipping.

    Corolla abuse threshold

It's certainly not helping things. It puts a lot of strain on the engine and transmission when you floor it constantly. All you're doing is reducing the life of the engine by driving like that, but no one will be able to tell you when that will happen. It's a dice roll.

    New Here, No Corolla Yet

Snagged a 2015 Corolla LE Eco Premium over the weekend. I'll post some pictures when its not covered in bug guts from driving 1130 miles back from where I got it.

    Corolla LE ECO

Well, I just drove the car back from Georgia over the weekend. Started in Austin, TX. 2015 Corolla LE Eco Premium in 4Evergreen Mica. 75 MPH = 38 mpg on flat ground 70 MPH = 42 mpg on flat ground 65 MPH = 44.5 mpg on flat ground Already ticked 1130 miles on the odometer in 3 days! She...

2014-15 Corrolla Complete DIY Parts for Modding/Upgrades List

Well, if you can find a full exhaust including the header for the car, you can tune the car really well. The less restrictive the exhaust and intake, the more flow of air/fuel/exhaust can happen without detonation. Think of it as all the parts you put on work in conjunction with the tune...

    Collapsed Corolla

You probably damaged the wheel bearing / tie rods. The impact may have also messed up the brake caliper. You need to go get all of that checked and you will need a new alignment afterwards. It doesn't look too severe, but without seeing the parts behind the wheel, it is hard to tell.

2014-15 Corrolla Complete DIY Parts for Modding/Upgrades List

Highly unlikely. You will need forced induction if you want to see anything reasonable with horsepower. It's got a tiny 1.8L engine so things like a tune, exhaust, intake won't do a lot for it, but you'll probably get in the range of 15-25 whp alone with the tune and exhaust combo.

New to Forum! Almost 1 year with my CorollaS

Cool! Welcome. I'm about to pick up my 2015 LE Eco Premium on Friday. Driving almost 800 miles to pick it up. These are fun little simplistic cars that are reliable. A lot of cars are going away from that today sadly and with all the infotainment problems many are experiencing, I'm glad I'm...

    Which Corolla should I buy?

I've got a 2015 LE Eco Premium down to $20,600, but I'm having a hard time getting the price under 20k. Either way you look at it, still a pretty good deal, but I would love to have it around $19,000 before TTL.

    Corolla LE ECO

Will do, thank you! I have to drive about 700 miles to get it because they only sell Corolla LE's and Corolla S in Texas, no ECO's. I wanted the softer ride and the gas mileage so I'll drive to get what I want.

    ceramic brake pads life span?

This varies based on your driving. If you brake hard when you pull up to every stop light or stop sign, they could be gone in 40k miles. You can make pads last 50-60k with good, light braking. Ceramic pads are not harsh on rotors, but can squeak some until they warm up a little. Normally...

    Corolla LE ECO

That's really amazing. My commute to work each day is about 13 miles with a mix of city and highway driving. Here is a picture of the one I am buying probably next week. This car would be perfect for my wife because she has a 30 miles commute daily back and forth, but with her back, she...

Thinking About Buying A New Corolla But Have Question

Dash readings are usually always off due to idling. I go by the Fuelly app and track off my odometer miles and each fill up. The only inaccuracy is catching when you might be at like 25879.9 miles when it should be 25880 so that's the only disparity you may see which is extremely minor.

Thinking About Buying A New Corolla But Have Question

My FR-S already has it. Uses both port and direct injection and the port side injection is what actually cleans the deposits off. This is why Subaru is adopting the FA20 in several of their cars now. Also, a catch can is a great investment on the PCV side which keeps the blowby oil from even...

Thinking About Buying A New Corolla But Have Question

Mazda has apparently found the solution to it. http://www.motoiq.com/MagazineArticles/ID/2105/PageID/3529/131-Compression-and-40-mpg-on-87-Octane-fuel-Introducing-Mazdas-Skyactiv-Technology.aspx To eliminate the problem of intake valve deposits that plague current direct gasoline injection...
